What aged players are appropriate for this program?
We accept players ages 5-17, no experience necessary.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
The 2026-2027 Season will begin in late November and run through March. We are planning additional away games in early 2027 with specific times TBD. Possible sites include Pensacola, Lafayette, Memphis, and Birmingham.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices and home games are held at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Games may be played across the region. Possible sites include Pensacola, Lafayette, Memphis, and Birmingham.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Depending on ice time, teams typically practice 1-3 times per week held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Additional practices held on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
"Friendlies" are usually played on Saturdays and Sundays. Occasional tournament games and travel are optional.
Our 2026-2027 Schedule is set for 3 home games between December and January with Away games starting at the end of January and running through March.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Jerseys are included in the registration fee for new players, and returning players needing a different size. Additional jerseys will be available for purchase.
Costs
What costs be should be expected?
A registration fee of $350 plus the USA Hockey registration fee, hockey equipment, gear, and some travel expenses should also be expected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can my child still register if they have never ice skated before?
Absolutely! We have a Learn to Skate program that will get them skating in no time!
How can I get a refund after I register my child?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds.
Is there hockey gear available to borrow for the season?
We have minimal gear available to borrow. We recommend purchasing all the gear you will need. We do hold an equipment swap at the start of each season where you may be able to find some used gear.
Is there a local store that sells hockey equipment?
Unfortunately, there is not. We recommend ordering online. We are happy to help with any sizing questions you may have.
Where can I get my skates sharpened?
We offer skate sharpening at the Coliseum BEFORE practice only for a fee of $5. Skates must be dry to be sharpened.

Information: The Junior Sea Wolves is a house league youth hockey program for children ages 5-17. Skating experience not required.
With our limited Ice time we will have home practices 2x a week from November to January with 3 scheduled home games. February schedule will be travel away games against teams in Lafayette, Pensacola, and possibly others.
